Job Description
Sprout is looking for an enthusiastic individual who shares our mission: to help parents create spaces that foster independence, creativity, and resilience in children. We aim for our mission to be relevant and present in everything that we produce. We are looking for a skilled writer who can relate to parenting of young children, and who can clearly express the joy that comes with the challenges and rewards of parenthood. You will write content to help parents analyze and critically develop their own parenting techniques, while honoring the challenge of parenting and the growth that comes with it. We hope
that your voice can create a connection with parents in the home and the desired community. You will primarily be writing blog content for Sprout and its social media accounts. Production of content will require collaboration between team members to ensure content is up to established standards

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Write blog content that addresses the needs of parents in the following areas:

    • Nurturing children: Sleep & Rest, Fine Motor Skills, Dressing, Feeding /Eating /Cooking, etc.

    • Empowering & supporting parents: Observation & Adaptation, Shared Experiences, Respect for the Child Ecological / Environment / Social Responsibility

  • Write social media content and supplemental content in other areas

  • Maintain Sprout brand and image in writing


  • Personal experience with Sprout products is preferred

  • Ability to write succinctly about a topic while keeping in mind Sprout’s mission

  • Customer-focused perspective

  • Familiarity with online parenting culture (blogs, popular approaches, influencers, mom and parent bloggers)

  • Familiarity with parenting and educational frameworks (including Montessori, RIE, Reggio-Emilia, Forest Schools, Waldorf, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Instagram, other social media sites and Google Suite

  • Ability to work cooperatively with onsite marketing team in a remote position

  • Independently works productively

Hours and Compensation

We are looking for part-time candidates to work remotely with frequent communication with onsite marketing team. Occasional in-person meetings preferred but not required. 5-20 hours per month.

Wage ranges from $15-25/hour depending on experience.
