History

Clark Davis grew up with a hammer in one hand and a book in the other. He discovered his love for inventing while sitting on the floor in a pile of Legos as a toddler. This love only grew as Clark's mom introduced him to books like "The Way Things Work" and "Incredible Cross Sections", and his dad let him help in his cabinet shop.

Clark always dreamed of being an inventor so he studied Mechanical Engineering in college. During his senior year, Clark invented a design for furniture that was easy to assemble and disassemble. As Clark thought of uses for his new invention he realized how much his creative childhood influenced who he had become. He decided to create a line of furniture to give kids their own space to learn and invent. Sprout was born!

Today, Clark is still designing and building children's furniture to bring kids similar experiences to the ones he loved and enjoyed as a kid. Recently, Clark's work has taken on new meaning, as he and his wife Stephanie have a 2 1/2 year old and a 6 month old.
